I got a malfunction code 43. Is this the Electronic Spark Control?

What now?

Any help here would be great.

Try and clear the code and see if it comes back again, also do you have a knock guage spliced into the ecm wire.

The code cleared itself after a few hours.

I dont know if the knock gauge is spliced into the ecm wire. I will see if I can tell.

Kinda new so bare with me here.

I had that code once and was experiencing all kinds of drivability problems. Turned out to be a loose negative/ground from the battery where it bolts to the engine block. Took me quite a while to figure out.
