where is the map sensor? i went to get a new one and looking online i find it to be on the right fender near the drier. so go to az to get one i find part # su129 oblong piece with three wires and vac port but i dont have anything remotely close! i do have a wire connector that fits into the new map sensor but no way to mount it. what i do have is a round piece with a vac port and an L shaped 2 wire connector on the back, so what is it?

Hot85. The MAP sensor (two bar)on the stock 85 only controls the idiot light boost gauge on the dash. It is located on the passenger side fender near the radiator coolant tank. It has no effect on the running of a stock 85( unless it is causing a vacuum leak). I can send you pics and I might have a spare one you can have. Alky control requires a three bar MAP which does make a difference. Brad

Digital dash cars got the round switch with two wires and analog dash got the regular three wire sensor. Like was said, neither have anything to do with how the car runs they only run the idiot lights/guage. I'm not aware of any other cars the round switch came on so you might be out of luck. The rectangle one came on nearly everything.
