SignUp Now!the cool string of blinky lights in the dash by the tach won't work any more..So I could just rip the the map sensor out and it wouldn't affect anything?
its very difficult to get accurate fuel air mixtures with a MAP sensor system it also limits total amount of Cam and Mods, the MAF system on the other had is much much more accurate - especially in a turbo car and can modified in more ways.

A.j,
I agree to some extend.
All the aftermarket and piggyback systems, including the TurboTweak SD chip are Speed Density and run off the MAP, MAT and WB.
So your statement is correct; With "just a MAP", it is difficult.
Add the other two sensors, and it just got a whole lot easier.
Also .........
If you never intent on running Progressive Alky injection, or PL, and don't care about logging data and/or the very notoriously inaccurate stock in-dash X-mas boost lights ............. than remove the MAP.
most other factory efi systems use both a MAP and a MAF together.its very difficult to get accurate fuel air mixtures with a MAP sensor system it also limits total amount of Cam and Mods, the MAF system on the other had is much much more accurate - especially in a turbo car and can modified in more ways.

MY next question is where do you hook up a vacuum/boost gauge to?
