My car has a scanmaster installed, and under wide open throttle the O2 readings say 003 and the AirFlow reading (AF) says only 91. I have heard that the AF reading is supposed to hit 255 under WOT. Would this indicate that my maf sensor needs to replaced? thanks for any help

What is the block learn #?

The block learn number is 105. The car is running very rich with a trouble code of 45 (rich exhaust indication)

Your o2 sensor is likely shot. If you are getting readings like that you shouldnt be getting a rich ex code. Your MAF could be bad also. unplug it and see if theres an improvemnet

i did replace the o2 sensor not too long ago when i saw the rich exhaust code. After i replaced it tho, the code was still present. So i ohmed the coilpack and found that the middle two coils were dead. Then i replaced the coilpack and ignition module. Would it be necessary to get a new o2 sensor again?

Also, i did unplug the maf when the car was idling and it sounded like it was going to die, but after about 5 minutes of it running terribly, i just plugged it back in.

Just because a part is "New" does not mean it's Good! Always double check new products because sometimes they too are bad right from the start...

Last year I bought 3 brand new AC Delco o2 sensors and every one was bad, under WOT the O2 sensor readings would go to "000" and stay there.

Then just recently we had a customers car in here for a complete restoration that he has been buying OEM parts for 8 yrs getting ready for the restoration day. We installed his NEW coil pack & module and come to find out they were bad..... so always double check!

.

Ok thanks. So the 02 sensor is responsible for the 02 mini volts readings on my scanmaster? And after I install my Maf and translator I will check the o2 sensor again

Do yourself a favour and make sure you buy a Denso 02 Sensor......I got tired of my AC Delco 02 Sensors crapping out on me....switched over to the Denso's and have not looked back!

Same as Scott and 1KWIKSIX,alot of problems with the A/C delco junk and the Denso is 1/2 the price from NAPA.
