I have a question for you hot air people.

What is the maximum boost and spark advance you are able to run with 91 octane gas on a stock engine? 8 PSI and about 12-3 degrees?

No, actually. We get 94 octane ethanol blended unoxygenated fuel here at some locations which really helps. It's about as effective as this drum of 100 octane unleaded fuel we got from the US last year, we were hoping for better results but found out it too was oxygenated. Our IC guys can run about 20psi on this stuff with no problems.

Both me and my dad were able to run more boost on pump gas with no intercooler. 20 degrees and ~19-21psi boost on 92 octane with ~2 degrees of retard on the 1-2 shift. Don't ask why but when I stuck the intercooler and big turbo on there, even with the same 02 voltage I could only run 16-17psi. The car did make way more power at less boost though. A friend of mine is also able to run 19psi on pumpgas with no IC.

Both of my brothers have 86-87 intercooled motors. I can run more boost and less fuel pressure than both of them. It has to do with the colder denser air from the addition of the intercooler, makes more power but also easier to detonate if you dont have the fuel for the boost pressure to push that denser air.
