Don't really understand how this Chip work's Ive looked on the website and apparently you need to program this Chip, Can someone edjumacate me on how it works? Thanks.....Randy
 
Where did you buy it?
Or was it already installed in the vehicle?
The way it usually works is the lower the number the lower the performance of the chip....some have a kill mode at zero and some have a valet mode at one....
I am not really sure what kinda problem your having, but maybe if you have some more info on what's wrong we might be able to help :cool:
 
YOU DO NOT NEED TO PROGRAM THE CHIP (assuming it was made for your combo in the first place)! :) You can however, "tweak" to your own liking if you want to. ;) Although I do adjust mine to my own preference, it runs just fine on the default setting.

A few tips:

In order to add/remove numbers for programming, your A/C must be operational (system fully charged). If not, you will have to run a jumper on the A/C pressure switch. BTDT. ;)

For MSD 50's, your fuel pressure (line off) should be between 40-45 PSI.

Remove the screens from your MAF, if that hasn't been done already.

Set the IAC/idle adjustment per the instructions.

-For BEST results, have Steve burn you a new chip according to your specific combo! :)

with the TE-62 and the MSD 50's Geoff I changed the oil, I just don't want her too be running Rich anymore I know too Rich is better than Too Lean just don't want too be washing down the Cylinders with this New Engine and Piston's/Ring's thats my only worry.....car seems to be running alot better with it in vice the OLD one that came with the Car I think they were 868's but once again I am not sure what they were, only 36lb I think, So I put the 50's in and the 8 pos Max Eff chip which was burned for those Injector's, another Thing I was wondering is when Steve's burns the chip does the Turbo get factored in as well as the injectors also have a GN110 212/206 Poston Cam and Ported Steel Heads with 1.77/1.50 Valve's and the Plenum Spacer as well.....So I recon I should get a NEW chip from Steve for all the stuff on the Car also has a PTE-51 with 2800 T/C Shifts hard as Hell.......When are we all gonna Hookup again so I can get this car dialed in, well my bro is here now But unfortunately I am NOT ready too Race yet Wise man once said and I quote "Haste Make's Waste" (Geoff) If I think of any other issue's I will be sure to Post them.....thanks Randy


P.S. John maybe you can chime in with the Exact Spec's of that Chip I got from you awhile back.......thanks again for all you'all Help with this matter
