McGard Lugnuts

I'd like to replace my crusty stock lugnuts with some solid chrome ones. Anybody used McGard Lugnuts with the stock GN wheels & centercaps? They list 2 part#s:

64002 Conical Seat, 12mm x 1.50 RH, Closed End, Chrome Plated

64012 Conical Seat Bulge, 12mm x 1.50 RH, Closed End, Chrome Plated

A little pricey at around $2.50/lug from Summit. Kirban has the stockers for $2, but I'm sick of fooling with that cover that keeps loosening up.

The bulge appears to be a wider seating surface for aluminum wheels, but maybe it is also the way to go to retain the stock wheel centers.

Any thoughts? I emailed McGard, they don't know anything abou the stock wheels of course.

i have the 64002 on my 84 gn with the t-type wheels and they work great. i got the lugs for free about 7 years ago and put them on when i bought this car 2 years ago still look great through 2 winters never rusted.

Thanks, I can't really visualize how the center cap is retained on the T-Type wheels, but I think it's different than the GN wheels.

Anybody with stock GN wheels??
