Another one bites the dust. :(

Last goal was 200K and she made it, easily.

If it wasn't so rotted, about 3X the rot of the cars James parts out up here in CT land, I'd still be driving it a lot. :p

She runs great a true 11 second stock motored WE4 with a cupholder, good stereo, ISAC alky. and a real foamed aftermarket SCAT Procar seat.

Soon you can count one less WE4 on the road. :(

Definately a sad tale. Post some pics of her. If she cant be saved hopefully whats still good goes to keeping another one from scrap. I always wonder how many WE4s are left alive.

She was totaled in 1995 forgot that part, kept me moving for 16 years past that 5th accident.

Frame is gone. :frown:

Got my moneys worth I guess.

Her heart and lungs will be saved along with the ton of electronics and go fast parts.

Plenty

Of rollers around .and good doctors . Just need the transplant. Id like to see some pics . Kinda like an old dog . You just dont want them to suffer..

Do they use a lot of salt on the roads there ? I know in MI it is the car killer. Still amazed how clean old cars stay here in CA. Mine would hide in the garage all winter when the salt trucks would come out in MI.

Go with a roller like suggested.. one imported from the south or west.

another request for pics too

OH MY GOD!!!!!! That's horrible!!! Man, you sure did drive it all of the time up there......wow, what salt damage!

I know salt on the roads up there in the winter is a bitch...rusts out all of the cars driven daily there.....worked in New York for a while and I had to wash off the salt every couple days off of my Vette.....some days it was 9 below!!!!

Northern cars are rust buckets, by no fault of the owners at all, it's just all of the salt used on the roads to keep them ice free.....I've actually seen a van frame just snap in two at a stoplight one time up in Binghamton!!!!!

I agree with Turbo Bob, time to make the Savage V6'

You sure got your money's worth there.

Damn thats funny bruce ...the owner had to of known that was coming at that point

I think there's more to it than salt. Just tonight my uncle pulls in from colorado, with a truck and trailer and a 68 ford station wagon on it. He bought this wagon in 69, drove it daily to start with, and then regularly for years until about 15 years ago it got wrecked in the front. He parked it, out in the weeds, 2 windows broke out, for 15 years. The body on this thing is cherry (except the LF nose bent up). He said it saw all kinds of salt in the winters. But his location has virtually no humidity. Exhaust bolts look like they'll come right off with an open end wrench. Paint is gone everywhere, couple bubbles of rust in the back. Out there it's just junk. Here it's a very restorable project. 390 4 barrel and he put a T10 4 speed with OD in it a long time ago. I think dad and my other uncle are gonna fix it up and surprise him. It has less rust than my 65 wagon had, and my wagon was in a concrete floor machine shed for 20 years.

Kansas can rust some stuff out pretty good, but we have nothing on the far north. I've seen some stuff that came from up there that's only 5 years old, rusting everywhere. Both GM and Chrysler have 5/100 rust through warranty and I bet you guys up there warranty all kinds of stuff. We get one every year or so that gets an unprovoked rust bubble under 5/100. I'm not buying a damn thing from anywhere north of here.

I'll be parting out the good panels, starting with the drivers rocker.

Damn, that is good!! Are the holes extra costs or what?

(that picture really, REALLY makes me appreciate my Grand National, big time)

I would

Find an enduro event and race it . One tank of gas last car running . Best racing fun ive had.. Just dont plan on driving it home .. The goal is to break all the econo cars that would out last you in fuel mileage.. Most guys bring small cars so i bring the biggest monster from the 60/70 era i can find . Laying carnage is a blast ..

I wanted to do that with my '67 Riv. I junked.

The car is worth a ton in good racing parts but they are stereo, some interior, and motor and tranny are 11 second capable in spite of the miles, oil pressure is the same as in 1988 when I installed the gauge and Kenne Bell plate.

Howver I will part with the passenger side front fender which has the brake cooling modification built in. ;)

The dynamat extra braces etc. I installed and the stereo increased the weight a ton, not to mention a few miles of custom wiring I did. :p

Last time I weighed it was at LVD in 2006 and it was 3955lb.s with me in it, I weigh 160.

She's a piggy with the astroroof and all.

I need a large storage shed that's for sure, got a roller WE4 already but absolutely no time to swap everything out due to work, but work just might pay for a new TR, I'm driving my GN now.

You can't daily drive anything else than a TurboBuick.

I may take the WE4 out for a Memorial day spin and mess up the speedo. :p
