I was just wandering which weatherstrip you guys have had better luck with. I used soft seal on my 87 aerocoupe monte ss and the door rubbers didn't fit that great. I didn't know if metro was any better. Hardtop car

Why not just spend the money on GM stuff that you know will work, especially since you have such a low mileage car???

None of them fit like the factory seals .Its not cheap. Thats the route im going to take when its time.

Well if any of them were any good, I would save a little, but if they are not a perfect fit, I don't want them. I heard a lot of good things about Metro from the Monte guys on the site and I just thought that I would check here to see what you guys think. Who has the best deal on GM seals.

No one. People who have them know it's the only option as the aftermarket seals.......well, they suck!! Bought the Soft Seals for the bottom of doors and the fit is like something you would expect from China!! Don't know about Metro, but i'm gonna try there roofrail seals anyways as we all can't afford to pay almost $400 for original NOS seals.

I here you on the fitment of the soft seal. You have to pull the plastic push pins out of your old seals because the push pins from soft seal aren't near large enough to snap in the hole. That helps some.

GM Only

Go GM only!! if you can. I did those replacement ones, and had tons for problems. For example, on my stang, when you shut the hatch and notice how the doors can move on a car? Basically I couldn't shut the trunk because there was no air holes in the reproductions, that left the air out. I
figured it out my openning the door, and then the hatch closed fine!

Give Jeremy (jdpolzin) a shout. I asked him about the aftermarket seals. If I remember right he said they work ok except for the ones that go on the doors. Send him a PM I'm sure he can give you some insight.

I bought the soft seals, and the only ones I really had a hard time with were the door seals. The window seals aren't perfect, but tolerable to me. After the door seals were on for a while, they wore in a little better. I dealt with it too, because I couldnt afford the GM seals either. just my .02

Soft seal sucks! I just went and picked up a car for a friend in Kentucky and it had "New seals" on the windows. It might as well had no seals on it. They have soo much wind noise you cant even hear the radio and thats no joke. I looked at them and the window fits tight against it. Its just a crappy made product that never got tested.

If you want to do this one time go to www.*********** and get his seals. They are the correct seals for the car. The guy is awesome getting stuff out. I ordered 3 parts this past Friday @ 2pm central time and I was opening the box at lunch time yesterday. Easy to order from as well. Just my 2 cents.
