I need five people to chime in they have done it...

11's on:
93 octane
drag radials
Alcohol
3500lbs
60 series or smaller turbo...

:D

ViciousV6 = 11.80
Bens87tr = 11.88
kenny = 11.8
Razor = 11.622
turbov6joe = 11.71
DR BOOST = 11.50
sixgun86gn = 11.95
someone from the "other" board = 11.80
TTA 1387 11.61

LOL. :D :p

You two are out of hand.

My money says you will not find people that fit the criteria.

How about no alcky but 100 unleaded - hey I get it at the pump at a regular gas station and 93+alcky is like 100 from what I have read around here.

PTE-44

Not mid 11's, but 11.88. I fit the rest of the criteria though. Oops, 94 octane did I run that with ( <- Yoda talk).

That's easily done, even on a STOCK long block.

Uhh huh :rolleyes:

So far 11.88 .. lets see them 10 second cars chime in..:eek:

Have ketchup ready.. and hungry ;)

Sit tight.

11.88
11.80.

Two cars, SO FAR.

And remember, no one mentioned ported heads and a hot cam.

11.8x + ported heads and a hot cam = mid to low 11's...

uh-huh...:eek:

Old car went 11.8-12.0's all day on 94 octane, no alky and 21psi.

But it can't be done. ;)

Also, that was on STOCK trailing arms, Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks.

Ya.. do it in Fla in 85+ degree weather on our slippery track running 93 octane gas.. better put up 120 mph.

Sure it can be done.. all day long.. easy as pie..

Uh-huh :p

Yeah heads= an easy .5 seconds, Cam an easy .5 seconds.. hell if it dont run 10.50's... its way out a tune. :rolleyes:

Lets see some guys from the south in the heat putting up the numbers.. not 40-50 degree days.. 90 degree 100% humidity.. on DR's..

Cheers..

11.8 to 11.2 thats nothing.. :rolleyes:

Old car went 12.16@109 in much hotter than 80* weather, with a bad actuator. Only made 19psi, fell off in 3rd gear through the traps.

Would run consistant ET's all day, every day.

275/50 BFG's on a 15x7" rim with 18psi, they like to be HOT.

60'd 1.6's.

Crappy tracks would 60' low 1.7's

Only thing ever done to the motor was a set of Comp 980 valve springs. Furthest it came apart. Heads NEVER off.

Car weighed 3510 with a half tank and me in it.

New car will better that by far, but it's winter time and I don't want to bench race off what it has ran... since I wasn't the one in it when it did run those numbers. :)

Kenny I believe you. This thread was started becuase of a post in the Fla section for a pump gas class we're doing at Bradenton for the Buick Southern event in March.

1.6 - 1.7's on Dr's is very respectable with a GN. Many wish they had the skill to do the same. But the jist of the post was to see a bunch of guys that run 11.50's with the above mods. Only car I can think of was Hank Terry's.. so i'll give my pranksters one more :)

And you answered a weight issue for us since the class was 3500 lbs with driver minimum weight.

I appologize for my responses to you, but though that by giving you some background, you can see why the hostility :)

Good luck on your new combo. And if your car went 2.0's for 60's.. forget the low 12's high 11's ;)

unless you have the MPH to pull the et down.

You need to read the other thread about "7's on DR's".

What is YOUR best time on DR's, Julio?

BTW, I have been to Bradenton, in the heat, and I hooked great. On all-weather radials, NOT DR's.

AND...

On those same tires, I cut 1.7 60' at Moroso.:D

Razor, I hear you.

Car only trapped 110-112 on pump, just left hard.

New car betters that by far. Can't wait to get it to the track.

Probably won't be on a 15" drag radial this year though, I'm looking at 17" rims. We'll see how it 60's with no sidewall. :eek:

Ohh I dunno.. so many passes..my mind drifts :D

In Mid June last year I ran a 7.55 @ 93.3 with a 1.80 60 foot here at Sunshine on dr's. Tranny and rear has been my achilles heel the last 7 months.. new rear was put in in sept.. now if I can get a working tranny :rolleyes: I may do some tuning again.

On the stock turbo, stock suspension I made over 150 passes all low 12 's on my Nitto's. I had a 1.63 on them once, typically ran 1.67-1.75's. Before the turbo upgrade.. with a one legger, i've only been on slicks.. now the posi is tight, i'll start on the dr's again.

What will it run after the heads and cam.. dunno... anybody's guess..

Ohh I forgot the little white bottle adder :eek:

Mid 2004.. its gonna cook :)

7 sec's on DR's..Almost forgot.. I was at the track when that run occurred last thursday nite.. 180+ MPH 315's DR's

Car looked like it was on ice skating back and forth. They have theyre traction control figured.
