when i bought the car i hadnt been here yet. so i got handsy with it and messed with the "Idle adjustment screw" come to find out later i shouldnt have touched the damn thing, and its actually the throttle stop and it isnt for adjusting the idle with a torx driver. with that said i think thats one of the problems with the car. it has a rough idle like revs and goes back and the revs and then goes back but its intermitent. ive read how to fix the IAC with a scan tool but i dont have one and cannot afford even a used one!! Is there no other way to reset it with my multimeter or
somthin? I really think this is the problem behind some of the driveability issues it has. the stuttery when idleing, the low rpms at the pre launch build stuff like that not directly related but related in a way. cause the TPS is set to .44 and 4.8 the TV cable is 2 clicks past the factory setting and thats the only 3 things Ive touched as far as adjustments. but if the IAC is off it affects the TPS right? or wrong? and the TPS affects the TV cable setting right or wrong? Sombody set me straight!!!!!
 
well any adjustment to the IAC will change the tps settings

do you remember which way you turned that iac screw
maybe u can fix it before u can afford a scanmaster

if you turn the iac screw clockwise, it brings the iac vaules DOWN
if you turn it ther counter clockwise, it will raise them up


maybe if you turn the screw in the opposite, direction you did previously, you can fix it enough to get around town

try tinkering with that screw, and then, re adjust your tps voltage
cuz it will be directly effected. use a digital multimeter, and probe the wire with a sewing needle

make sure to do yer adjustments when your car is totally warmed up.
make sure to shut the car down after adjusting the IAC

i can almost bet thats causing yer tip in stumble,
that was my problem


when u get the money, get a scanmaster, cuz that thing helps so much:D
 
basically thats what ive been doing but it seems that if i turn it clockwise the car accelerates better but if if power brake it only semms to rev like 1000-1200 rpms. its exactly opposite it i turn it counter. Im tryin for somthin in the middle. But i got the tps set good each time. .44-4.8. I dunno. I think im gonna apply for the next Credit card offer i get and CHARGE IT.:D Thanks for the reply
