Will I have a problem at the track if I run 16" GTA wheels on the front and 15" wheels on the back? I don't think it would be a problem with the car, but will it pass tech inspection? I just got a new set of GTA wheels and want to run street tires on them since that's what 95% of my driving is. I go to the track a few times over the summer and was thinking about just putting on 15" wheels on the back with DR's or ET streets when I go. It will look dumb, but I would like to get decent traction and there doesn't seem to be alot of choices for Drag radials with the 16" rim plus I don't want to buy two more wheels if I can avoid it.

i dont see why they would give you any trouble. i mean, dont people run skinnies and all different size tires @ the track when they go? it would be silly for them to give you any crap over it. i wonder, since the 16" rims are taller that would make the car lean back a bit. would that yield any better traction/weight transfer? just a thought:)

I run 225/50/16 on GTA wheels up front and stock GN rims with 275/50/15 BFG Drag Radials on the back and have had no problem. Make sure you have metal valve stems if you are running fast enough!
