Was wondering what everyone thinks about modifying a low mileage all original hardtop 87 T with only 12K original miles. I have one but am having a tuff time making the decision to mod or keep stock. Would you:

(1) Have at it and mod away as it will be more fun that way;

(2) Keep the mods simple and reversible in case you have to turn the car back to stock;

(3) Keep it stock as you should not be modding such a low mile and original car;

OR

(4) Sell it, get something with higher miles and mod that.

Just looking to see what everyone else would do, or has done.

Thanks :biggrin:

Sell me the car real cheap! :D Thats your best option ;). Hell no! Its your car freaking mod it to your hearts desire.. its only a car!

Id go with 2!! Simple mods you can take off the car if you have a buyer looking for a low mile STOCK T.. Or like Znix said.. Just mod it!!!

I'd go with option 2 as well. There are quite a few bolt-on mods that make a big difference in performance while retaining everyday driveability. If and when you decide to sell the car, offer the buyer the original parts with it as I would think anyone who is interested in a TR would appreciate the simple mods.

Do whatever you want so you maximize the enjoyment of your car! I feel sorry for folks I read about with low mileage cars that don't even drive them.
