Monte SS (supercharged) same as Buick GS???

I am loooking at getting the new supercharged Monte SS next year.

Is this the same engine as in the supercharged Buicks??

Either way, will it respond the same to the same mods? I will want to make it a little quicker than stock but not sacrifice reliability as it will be my daily driver.

Anyone here have one?
