My car mostly sits in the garage but I start it up about once every three weeks. I am running Red Line 10W30 with EOS.
Before starting I crank it for about a minute until I get about 20# on the oil pressure gauge. This morning a friend told me he uses "Hi Tach Heavy Duty oil stabilizer" (Hi-Tach Oil Company) which he claims will not drain down so I will have instant lube on my once/month starts.
Has any one used this or another product which will provide lubrication on start up? Does it work? Are there any problems with this sort of product?
Your comments are appreciated.

I dont think so its just a thicker oil like Lucas, STP, oil stop, etc.

Dont see anything wrong with what you have now. If you are getting tapping from a dry lifter from the car sitting then the thicker oil which will be the result of the "Hi Tach Heavy Duty oil stabilizer" will make the tapping worse/longer as the prime will take longer due to the higher viscosity.

Could disconnect the wire powering the ecm and then startit over till the oil/choke light goes out and the reconnect wire and fire it up.
