What do you guys think....I am hitting a 'lil - well ok a lot of knock at like 15 lbs boost. Get some red lights on the Caspers guage. Got a Walbro 307 hotwired, Razors PAC Alky kit and 36 pounders (blue tops).
Check other mods in my sig below...

Still have to put in a RJC Perf Plate that I got from Santa.

Im not sure if my pump is failling (its getting loud) at boost or if im not feeding it enough alky or if I need the RJC in there to help out a bit. Guess I need a long hose fuel pres guage to tape to the windshield to check for sure on the pump.

But the pump aside - do I have enough injector for my combo or should I be upping the ante - and if so to what ?

Check fuel press while wot, maybe false knock? maybe 36ers are a little small with that turbo and i/c setup?

You should have enough pump. My pump also got real loud right before it quit. It got so bad that the car would idle and if I barely touched the gas to rev it, it would stumble and die and pressure would immediately go to 0. Mine was usually quiet until it ran for a while. Then it was so loud, people would stare at my car. Easiest way to know for sure is to check FP at WOT. Do you have a way of seeing your 02s?

You should have plenty of injector (with alky) to max out the turbo. Couple of questions;

What is the chip timing?
Did you verify the red light against a scan tool for KR to dertermine how much KR?

Thx for the replies gang...

I just bought a new laptop so I am going ahead with the purchase of a Turbo Link so I can verify all the numbers and the knock.

Not too sure what the timing on the chip is - the Turbotweak alky chip.

I was mainly worried that I was too small on the 36 pounders....since I will be pulling off the turbo and doghouse to put the RJC pp in I figured that would have been the best time to get at the injectors if greater opinion shows I should go up to 42 pounders or more.

Whats the best way to write it off as false KR ?

A few will suggest going with bigger to get your DC down but depending on how long you stay in it, the 36's should be fine but close to 100% DC. If not, I am sure TT would have recommended larger ones based on what you requested. While O2 sensors are not a great tuning tool, they can be used as a guideline where you are at. What were your O2's @WOT?

Best way to eliminate false knock is with race gas 110+.
That way you pretty much know it is false.

Thanks for your post Jerryl. I have already ordered a set of 42.5 injectors for my setup. I will sell my set of 36 blue tops on the parts wanted list shortly-never used them and bought them on this sight with a statement from the buyer that they where only used once. This is not a hijack of this thread but I have found that this is a good thread with good info. Brad

I didnt think the RJC plate worked on the JS kits because the plenum has been modified. I thought they only worked on the stock plenums, because teh airflow is very specific, with the changed design of the JS one, I assume the airflow will be alot different, and thus eliminate the effectivness of the power plate.
