How many off you guy can't stand your mother in law. I can stand my mother in law:mad::mad::mad::mad:. I have step kids and she is alway in the mix when it come to me laying down the law. Just I'm doing my very best not to jump down her neck:D

I got lucky.......

I really don't mind my mother in law, she just flew out for Christmas. It helps that she lives in Canada and we live in Sothern California.

At my house that I pay for it is my rules. At her place she can get away with what she wants. But then you throw in the fact that they are step kids it kind of blurs but still your place, your rules.

That said the mil is a guest and can be treated as such but that doesn't mean she needs to be invited in the future. This could cause some friction with the wife.

Last thought, they are step kids, so why are you so worried about them? My personal rules has been established to stay quiet about other children as long as no one is being physically harmed. Not my kid, not my problem. Just seems to keep things easier.

Lucked out with mine. She was a nice person. She has been gone 3 years now. Moved her up to CT where she lived out her final 7 months at our house. She had bladder cancer.

My father in law was great too. Total gearhead, loved cars. He passed away 4 years ago of a heart attack in his garage between his hot rods.:(

i love mines, she fights with me all the time (in a fun way), spoils me and defends me.

Your step kids are her Grandkids?? She is just making sure you don't fck with them. My Mom did the same thing to my wife.
I had to have a good long talk with my Mom about it then she relaxed a little(less obvious) to this day she is still over protective of my oldest BUT like i said she is just less obvious about it to/with my wife, i still see it a mile away but as long as my wife doesn't i don't care. My Mom is just looking out for her grandchild My kid. It is very understandable as with any one looking out for their own around strangers or none blood relatives.
Good luck.

My Mom-in-law is great. Treats me like a son rather than an in-law (or outlaw). Dad-in-law was great also, gearhead, hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman. He passed 7 years ago and I still miss him.:frown:

I love mine, she awesome with me ..I always tell her thanx for giving me my Beautiful wife.:biggrin:my wife and her look twins.

Thanks guy!!!! We had a little talk and had to air out something but I thank thing will get better and she gose back home to NY on Monday yesssssssssssssssssssssssss lol

You could do what I did with my ex-wife's mother....

I took her to the Zoo and they wouldn't let me take her back. End of story and a happy one.:D

They were so great to you Mark, because of your caring heart. Now this was such a nice read.

You are one good man and I KNOW you are in the eyes of the Lord.

Nice read, nice to see you had such great in-laws...rare now days. You'll always miss him, my friend, but he'll always be in your heart. Not to worry, though, you'll see him again someday and that's the truth.
