Hey all,
Just got back in the game and the motor is hurt. I installed front mount and was tuning, the car was pulling so string I kept cranking the timing, boost and alky --- I think a head gasket went south. Some smoke out of the exhaust but not the drastic amount you would get from a blown head gasket. Checked the coolant and is was low, checked the oil and it was over filled and milky!!1 bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The motor is coming out and champion alums may have to go back on:eek:
Im sure the turbo needs to be freshened up so why not a 67 or 70!
Roller cam or no????
Goal is a 10 second car with no cage!!
Its starting to sound like my 10.9 GN but this one will not have a cage!
And to think, I told myself I would leave this one alone!! :D

hold on man, last time we talked you said 11 second car. boy how it snowballs! :-)

are you running FAST on the car, you said you were bumping up timing and boost?

i have a pretty basic build up and i went a 10.95 at 123 on 23#'s my build up is this, te45a, bowl work on stock iron heads, 218/218cam, 9/11 billet 3500 stall, 50# injectors, extended stock location intercooler, just basic stuff, nothing fancy, i know a guy who was as faster than me and he put GN1's on his and a 70 and it slowed waaay down, GN1's are for serious serious cars that move alot of CFM, I personally dont think they are worth the money you spend on them, and you surely dont need them on a car to go 10's, if your going to spend that kind of money go buy a steel crank and put a turbo 400 behind it and wind her up to 6500-7000rpm and really FLY on some stock heads
