im about to swap an 81 3.8 turbo into my cutlass in place of the 267. i was just wondering how to change the motor mounts on the frame. there are nuts on the other side of the bolts inside the frame. do i have to take off the lower control arms to get at the nuts, or is there an easier way? thanks, Adam

My engine dropped right in place, I didn't have to move the frame side of the motor mounts.

and yes the the back side of the bolts are a pain to get at ,But I had one fall out on me what I did was tacted a welding rod on the bolt and used the rod to get the bolt into postion then I tighten it down. that worked for me.

what engine did you have before the swap? i think chevy's are different mounts.

yeah, i think BOP engines all have the same mounts, but chevys are different. so i guess ill have to figure out how to change them... thanks
