After seeing my friend's install on the crossover, I've decided to put my wastegate up top in the engine bay. Problems with the crossover mounted one was potential debris hitting it and more difficult tranny removal (which I do quite often).

I have an Innovative Turbosystems ProGate. On the hotair the uppipe into the turbo runs right next to the downpipe so there's all kinds of places to mount it. I'm more concerned with underhood heat hurting the diaphram. I also understand I might lose a little power vs the crossover setup because all the exhaust has to go down to the single uppipe before it gets bypassed. I've seen where ATR mounts their gate on the header so am I worrying for nothing?

My experience was that on the cross over sucked.....

I hated it......and it didn t function welll , I think due to the lack of exhuast volume....

I also wouldn t worry at all about heat. The valve is virtually exhaust gas temp......and it connects to the diaphrame......and external heat source would seem minor unless actually touching....which isn t possible.....

I mounted mine on the crossover. I made a removable pipe from the wastegate to the downpipe to allow easy tranny access. Check out my signature (hope the link still works)
