Does anyone use this system? I've been using it for a few months on both my cars and I think it might be stripping the wax. I noticed my white wash mits would get black and would never wash out, like wax residue. The cars would dry with no spots but after feeling the paint, the wax is gone.

I tried my normal wash soap but it won't try without spots.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks,

Doug D

I think you're right. I used it a few times and noticed the same thing, it seems to strip the wax right off. What I started doing however was washing the car with my regular soap and just using the rinse setting on the Mr. Clean deal. All it does is filter the water so there are fewer minerals to spot your car.

I noticed that too. I haven't tried a different soap in it yet. Maybe if you rinse it off really good when using the different soap and then use the spot free rinse feature. Also remember that those filters supposedly need to be replaced after 6 uses if I remember right. I kinda regret buying that thing.

My fiance works at O'Rielys auto parts and she said that they did't sell very well and they put them on clearance.

Was $30 now $10 on clearance!

So you guys that already have them should buy up as many filters as you can.

Billy :)

I quite using it after I also noticed it stripped the wax off the car. I hated having to re-wax the car every week  .

Well, I have been using it on my brand new truck and it has the same "feel" to the paint. I haven't waxed it since I bought it unless the dealer did it. I really think it is something in the filter that is leaving that residue. Either way, I like it because it works on mine.

It makes the black cars look like glass when I'm done, and super slippery. After washing with this system it losses its slipperyness.

I guess I'll go back to toweling the car off.

I noticed they had several different grades of wax, which one do you use? How does it work on the GN? I have been using Zaino, and it works pretty good but I am always lookin' for something better.
