Hey i was just wondering if you guys could help my brother. There was these 24" rims on ebay. He made a deal with the guy outside of ebay with the rims and he sent a 1000 dollar deposit through a western union. Well this guy screwed him over and the cops say they cannot help because it has to be a bigger amount of money. If there are any officers that can help me i would greatly appreciate it, i just want to get pointed in the right direction so we can get his money back. My brother has tried but he doesnt know what else he can do. Thanks

Wow! I thought everyone knew about the Western Union frauds. Sad to say but unfortunately the only thing you will get is $1000.00 lesson on this one.

I think I'd call the police and talk to another officer.....better yet, call the main number and ask for a detective in the white collar crimes unit. No guarantee he will get his money back, but you definitely shouldn't have trouble getting someone to listen to your fraud case. And for the record, I think larceny of $1,000 is a felony in just about every state.....In VA, anything over $200 is a felony.

He Should contact the guy and say hey I guess the western union money did not go through can I send you cash? and get an address.

^^^^id try that, then when you get his addy, go over there and beat the sh*t out of him

i called him an idiot for losing the 1000. Im not to fond of 24s either but oh well thats his choice. He gave his adress but we had a cousin down in MA, and never could find the place so i dont know whats goin on. I know he ripped off a bunch of other people to.

How did your brother communicate with this person?? Email? Phone? I've never dealt with Western Union, but did he specify where to pick the money up?

I would hope the police would get involved. I can understand $10... but $1000. That makes people take matters into their own hands.

What's the persons ebay name?

He talked to him on the phone, and now will not answer any phone calls. I believe his ebay name is "twentyfourcadi" or something like that. He gave my brother an adress but like i said it led to nothing. So we do not know what to do from this point.

Thats all the info he has. but my cousin tried to find the place and never could find it so, i dont know if it is made up or not. Thanks for th help

Let me know what u can do. Or if it is to far let me know. I dont want this guy to get away with it.

Foxboro, Ma based Sprint # if that helps...reverse phone look up:)

what do u mean to reverse phone look up. what do u mean by foxboro, MA. Im not really sure what u mean let me know thanks.

Sorry, Springfield is too far away from me and i'm not familiar with that area. Foxboro is not far though........maybe someone has an idea on how to put a "Real" name to that Tele. #.......If so, I could search for an address in that area for ya. Sorry, that's about the best I can do unless we can get a name.

Pronto let mek now what you meant from your post, and we will see from there... The guy said his name is Andrea Payton. If there is anything else i can do please let me know guys. thanks

The name and address is probably fake. The telephone # can't be if your brother talked to him. That's a felony charge so I can't see why the police in your area arn't interested in it. I'm sure they could get the persons name and address from that #. When you do a reverse search on a telephone # it will tell you if the number is a cell. That # is a Sprint number based in Foxborough, Ma. You can't get anymore info on cell #s than that.
