You got it. I have always said that I would never want to stay in that house. If there was a fire you would be in serious trouble. The windows are at best 10-12 inches high located at the ceiling. I have to wonder what the person in charge of the design and build of that house was thinking. I never like to feel trapped in a building. That house however, your trapped.

Looks like you have room for an 1/8 mile strip in your backyard!!!!

Have you talked to them? A door would be easy to put in. It would be a crock pot if it lit up.

There is so little time to escape during a fire that sometimes all the windows and doors in the world don't help. Once you are overtaken by the smoke, it's over whether you are standing at a door or not. The smoke gets so thick so quick it's like being blindfolded and underwater.

We found my Mother's body at the back door where she was trying to get out, of course the fact that the door was stuck shut and wouldn't open didn't help. Yes, we had called the builder numerous times to come fix the door, but he never made it over. Brand new house (500K)!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hmmm...1/8 mile strip??? I'll bring that up to the wife:biggrin:
Talking to the neighbors about something like a door would be like talking to a door.
I can't imagine the anger of what happened to your mother V8Assassin, how it happened and why it happened. So very sorry to hear about it. I hope the builder is no longer building houses. They would be lucky to be breathing themselves.

Electrical problems in a brand new house, nice house, neighborhood and all. Never expect a problem like that. The door in question was just screwed up and not set in the frame correctly. My brother, 6'3" 250+ couldn't open it. It took a while to get all the test and things done, but we are now in litigation with the builder. Don't know what will happen with that, real justice would have been pouring gasoline on his sorry ass and lighting him up.
