i have a 1984buick regal with a 3.8 engine wondering what all is needed to convert it over to chevy 350(what all do i need to change)?

Motor mounts and transmission for a chevy bolt pattern block. If you did the swap it would be pretty easy to just get parts as you find incompatibilities. It's easy to find just about anything for a g-body.

Why a Chevy 350? Why not a Buick? Everything is pretty much a drop in with a Buick 350. Unless you already have the Chebby...or care about $$$$$ ;)

Or you could go with a draw thru turbo setup. 81-83 I believe works, or whatever is computer hookups for carb, etc. Its pretty much a bolt on and hook up deal. Easily get that regal up and moving then, probably end up just as fast or maybe faster after a little tuning. WAAAY less work and money going this route:cool:

There's a junk yard near phonix that keeps advertising on evilbay as the buick parts specialist. You might check it out for parts.

it is easy to swap over to a Chevy- the frame and engine mounts can be taken out of pretty much any Chevy powered car and truck built from 73-99.
you'll need to move some wiring around- but that's easy- and the fuel pump is on the other side of the motor compared to a Buick, but that's what hose was made for. you'll may need different power steering lines.
if you have an overdrive trans, then it should bolt right up to the Chevy. if not, then find a short shaft TH350 and bolt it right in.
