mysterious wire???

on the chasis groung wire nearest the pump hotwire relay there is a wire that branches off and has a small tab/clip on the end. what does this do and where does it go? i already looked throught the hotwire kit installation instruction.

If you are talking about the one at the back of the gas tank, it is a ground to attach to the lip of the tank. Clean off a spot on the back lip of the tank and clip it there.
