Hey gang - I'm still fighting with the insurance compay over my stolen 1987 GN and am probably heading to court.

I have been searching NADA for prices but when the calendar rolled to 2007, NADA dropped 1987 off as a used car and it's not a classic or special interest year.

There is also an NADA business site with pricing. Does anyone have access to this info or a way of getting NADA pricing on a 87 GN?

I have written confirmation from the insurance company rating the condition of my car as "excellent", however their offer is well below "excellent" on Kelly Blue book. CT does not allow the use of KBB for whatever reason, so I need NADA data!

thanks!

I think Dennis Kirban was influential in getting our cars on the NADA list. Maybe you could contact him to see if he has any advice.

Thats Strange That Your Insurance Company Wont Give You Kbb ! Because There The Only Ones That Still Give Old Car Values ! But To Tell You The Truth Nada Probably Would Give A Ridiculusly Low Value ! My Kbb Says Its Worth Like 15300! I Would Say Its More Like 10000 , Im Actually A Used Car Manager For A Big Chevy Dealer And Appraise Cars For A Living And I Would Say 10000 Is Fair ! But Then Again Try To Find A Nice One For That !~

actually "excellent" conditon KBB is 27,500 and "good" is 13,850.
And "excellent" is NOT a 100 point/perfect resto or unused car!

So when these jerks offered me $3,000 I was both offended and wild!

well, the prices vary w/ location, but the 3k is for a regula regal probably...the bank tried to pull that crap with my dad several years ago...

Find as many examples of gn's in similar condition as yours from ebay and autotrader. Print the examples out and present them to your insurance co. Sounds like you have Farmers Group for your insurer. My insurer offered me the same amount 3k 2 years ago and it is the amount for a regal not a gn. Many examples of excelent gn's will have asking prices in the high teens or higher.

I don't know if it anyone would take you seriously but you might show them the results from this and last year's Barret-Jackson auctions.

44k for a GN this year.
33, 20 something, and 14 for 3 last year.

Of course I don't know much about those cars but if someone things GN's aren't work much that might change their minds.
