I want to install an alarm with the least amount of cutting/splicing possible. Car has 25k miles on it. Does anybody know how the factory alarm is installed, and is it possible to duplicate it with a modern one? At least if I have to cut wires, I can say I did it like the factory did. Thanks!

Do what I did. Get the connectors from the dash harness and steering column and wire up the alarm through those. It will then just unplug and plug in. But make sure you strap you connectors together so anyone else can just unplug the alarm. I'm sure Brian can help you out.
