My Fasten seat belt light comes on randomly even when I have the seat belt on. Also the dinger will come on and ding at me like if you leave your lights on with the key off. The dinger comes on whenever the fasten seat belt light comes on!! Driving me crazy. Anybody got an idea.

I sent you an email with the wiring schematic for the chime and seat belt indicator. Looks like an easy fix, I would start with the wire that ends up at the drivers belt buckle. There is a switch in there that, when you fasten your belt it will open the switch and when unhooked it closes the switch. somehow this wire is getting a ground and when it gets a ground is when the chime relay turns on the indicator and sounds the chime.

This problem is one of the old ones that always used to come up.... it's usually the chime module $h!tting the bed and getting flakey from old age.... (kinda like me :p) I never replaced mine and the ding-dinger finally gave up the ghost (THAT hasn't happened to me, YET!! ) and now it just flashes the light at me once in a while. You can easily change the chime module to fix it.... usually, anyway.... I don't think this problem comes up much anymore because most people's chime mod. has already died....

Try seeing if there's a disconnect at the base of the seat belt. If so, disconnect it and see if it stops coming on. (It should) If so, then your switch is suspect.

I agree with chime module gone bad...same thing happened to me...do a search on "chime module"...should get a lot of info
