Ok car was fine tell we put these parts on, head gaskets, cam, and new intercooler, now when i start the car and give it even a little gas the car acts like the inj is losing power. If i give it a little gas it will rev to about 2800 then its like it hit a rev limiter, it will drop back to about 1000 rpm and start to go back up and do the same thing again.

Ever time it seems to do this the ses light comes on then go's back off. If i floor trhe car it just pops and dies. So gar i set the cam sensor , changed ecm, changed chips, changed coilpack and module, maf seems to be ok, i just dont get it.

what could this be , maybe a short or something , bad crank sensor.

help

I agree with Air Buick, maybe you slightly bent the ring on the balancer while you had it off. If so it may have messed up your crank sensor. Check to make sure it's not touching the ring as you turn the motor by hand.

Also check to make sure all the grounds are connected and clean (no paint, rust ect.)

I didn't realize you had pulled the heads and cam from your last post.

A few thoughts here:
1./ Was the cam installed correctly? Marks dead-on?
2./ Is the cam sensor wiring harness positioned so that it is approximately pointing to the driver side headlight group? Did you use a cam sensor installation tool, or the voltage drop method of installation?
3./ I agree that the crank sensor can also contribute to your problem.
4./ Last, and not least, when the car is running, even poorly, what kind of charge rate are you getting? Lots of people mishandle the positive battery cable/big red wire on the back of the alternator sequence and often it will blow a diode in the alternator rendering it a usless piece of rotating equipment. Your car won't run worth a damn at zero or little charge rate.

Most importantly, get this solved ASAFP so you don't get to do the cam job again due to flattening a lobe because of an improper break-in

hey guys good news, the car runs great now.

I had a body shake the harness when i rev the car and we found the problem in the back of the motor . there where 4 grounds in the harness that my brother never hooked up that go to the back of the head. I didnt think of it because there was a ground on the other side and i didnt think they would have that many.

well thanks alot for all the help guys.

Don hope to see ya at the track very soon now

Yea, blame your brother ;) Glad it was something simple.

Hate to tell ya, but they are calling for snow Sunday
