Went in for the dreaded emissions test and failed. My current setup is 42lb injectors with matching TT chip set for 42 lineoff, brand new cat, and running 100 octane gas. All of the EGR stuff is intact and functional as far as I know, PCV is new etc. Coolant temp during test was arounf 185....
Here are the numbers....
Hydrocarbons = my car 3.0 , pass is 1.6 ----FAILED
Carbon Monoxide = my car 23.7 , pass is 15.0 -- FAILED
NoX = my car 1.7 , pass is 2.5 ---- PASS
Buddy of mine said to turn fuel pressure down to 28 or so and turn the boost down.
The kid who ran the test was getting squirrely on the rollers. HE was hitting boost and backing out while doing the incline test. Can person running the test have a factor on the outcome?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
