Perhaps that valve doesn't has not enough opening area to bleed off enough air ?

Maybe do away with it and use the original solenoid right beside it and see what happens ?

Also is the actuator (located at the end of one of the hoses of the "Y") does it have an adjustable rod on it ? If so, tightening it up with increase boost. If it is a factory adjustable one, then one turn will be 1psi.

How would I do away with it? is there anything I would have to change?

I do believe it still has the rod on it.... How would I go about adjusting it??

What that pic shows looks like a flow control valve. I am not sure that will really work that well. I have rigged up a home depot air compressor regulator inbetween the wastegate actuator and the turbo outlet..... you regulate the pressure the actuator sees... and that will raise the boost level..... crude but it works.

The wastegate actuator rod if it is original is non-adjustable....you won't find any nuts or threads on it.... it will be slick.... You have a pic of that?

There are plenty of ways to skin a cat..... some better than others... My recommendation is to stay away from thos easily adjustable bleeders... or regulators... if you are running pump gas..... it is too easy to adjust it 1/8 of a turn and the boost come up 5 psi..... it could kill a pump gas motor before you could say $hit. Now if you have alky..... and a good tune.... it doesn't make as much of a difference..... say you were at 15 psi... and one tweak later.... 20 psi.....

Just my 0.02

Buy an adjustable wastegate actuator.... or modify yours.... instructions are on gnttype I believe.... then you can take small steps....

Yea I checked my actuator and it is smooth no threads. thanks I will look into getting an adjustable one...... Also how would I take that flow control vavle?

From that pic, it looks like you still have the factory "Y" fitting on the hoses. Assuming they are hooked up correctly, you can just remove the hose from the bleeder valve (gold thingy) and reattach it to the original Wastegate solenoid. The black thing to the left of it with the red connector on it.

Use the port to the left for the hose (although since it is just a bleeder valve it may not matter ??)

Watch the boost and see if it gets lowered.
