Hello board.
I have the remote mirrors, but the driver side doesn't work. The glass was loose in the mirror, and the little arm inside the car barely moved the mirror when I tried. Well I took apart the door and pulled the assembly out. It came out with the little joy stick, the cable, the riser the mirror housing sets on, and the mirror housing and glass. It appears that there are three cables connected to the joystick that run to an aluminum mechanism behind the glass. From the aluminum mechanism there are three small cable "hairs" that connect to the glass that control two axis of the mirror. Those small "hairs" are broken and bent. It is not a robust design. Do anyone know if I can replace just the cable or if I have to replace the whole assembly: joystick, cable, riser, housing, mechanism, and glass. The cable runs trough everything, hard to tell.
Also, any good leads on where I can get replacement parts to repair it?
Thanks for the help.
Jeff
