Hi, I have 89 TTA AND FOUND OUT THE REAR IS SHOT, HAD A SPARE POSI UNIT, HAD IT IN STALLED AND IS WORSE THEN THE ONE I HAD. NEED SOME ADVISE ON WHICH DIRECTION TO GO. ANY IDEAS WELCOME!!

THANKS JD

10 sec car ??? NOT another stocker  12 bolt or a 9" Ford work well :p

When mine gives up I'm going with a Currie. Yea, their a lot of money but what not on these cars.

12 Bolt - got mine from Moser, over 500 passes so far mostly 1.4-1.5 60fts off t-brake with no issues.

HTH,
Steve

Come over, measure my driveshaft and yoke..

That way the rear end can get the correct yoke.

Last would be getting a set of axles and brackets to swap over the stock stuff.

Or say F it and go the other route I had suggested two weeks ago before all this had happened for 350.00

Mark's has a Ford 9" and he aint scared to let her rip....

U can shim the factory posis once ot twice.

Than u either have to rebuild it with new cones or replace the whole unit.

Hit thirdgen.org and do a search for 9bolts and the like on the drivetrain board.

Few real good posts/explantaions of it by some pretty good folks.
