Need some help trying to figure out where to lift body off of chassi?

I would lift it off the chassis in your garage or on a flat solid surface. :)

I could not resist......I will be doing the same next spring or as soon as I can get the rusted out door thresholds and floor pan solid enough so the car doesn't fold in half. :(

Anyhow I would like this info also...

All good fellas, fig it out and no flex at all :) she sitting on rail road ties right now, inside the shop. Tomorrow after work I rip the engine and trans out and then on the weekend ill be a sand blasting and painting that chassi bright pink lol ;) just kidding, you know she's going black :)

Bright pink might be a cool "period color" actually. Fourescent pink and lime green were cool accessory colors in the 80s. I only ventured as far as having a pink oil fill cap on my cutlass ciera. :).................................................Thinking back:rolleyes::oops: ..................................... not so cool....good idea to stick with black.:D

Are you doing suspension work while the body is off? Fuel lines? Brake Lines? Etc? If so keep us posted and take some pics.

Yup everything...total restoration. Brand new floor already in place. Took a couple of days after work but was worth it.....I'd like to put powder coated fuel lines and brake lines on her

Will post pics....car should be driving again after the winter :)

Not my first restortation..to be honest this would be my 3rd...1992 s10 off chassi resto and 78 vette same shit....I'm addicted to very clean vehicles

sounds good. My first resto was a '57 VW no rust but had some body dings. It was a learning experience that took 20 years (so far-15000 in chrome and interior parts remaining). My turbo project is more of a fun to drive semi-resto. The purist in me says to make it completely original. The realist in me says there are too many details and costs. I am torn between building a funtional and fun vehicle or restoring to original. I argue to everyone that a car is not worth having if you are afraid to drive it. I am not so good at following this rule. I plated the 57 one year and was so paranoid to drive it I put it up. I Buick I have is in terrible condition and will be best suited for a fair weather fun car. Maybe I'll upgrade to a better one in the future. For now I'll antagonize the young whippersnappers with it. :)
