I just bought an 6.0 out of a 07' Silverado it has the Varible Valve Timing, I also have the trans and harness. Is there a way I can get rid of that?
Also I think it has a 4L70E all wheel drive trans. Is there a way I can modify that to work?
Is this engine an LS3 or something else?
I plan on using a T63 turbo on this, would I have to change anything on the bottom end of the engine?
Are there any camshafts that will work to enhance horsepower?
What oil pan could I use for this?
What would be the best intake for this application?
I would greatly appreciate the help guys. Thanks.:D

63 mm is way to small for that motor. twin 63s is a better option. i current build has twin 62s on a 6.0 and they plot out very well

what yoru describing doesnt sound like it came from a silverado. More along the lines of a denali and would be a 6.2 litre. you cant ditch the VVT with the proper cam, valve springs, timing chain and etc. that is a Gen IV motor and that pcm isnt as user friendly as teh Gen III pcm

HOTROD.com did a write up on how to change the VVT. I would go with a 4L60, or $l80 trans for simple swap. As for the cam i hear the LS6 cam will give way more power they have them @ GMPP.com, you may need to upgrade the springs also. As far as oil pan i use the LH8 pan(JEGS.com) has the whole setup for $179 it sits a inch below my cross member, but i think it will be ok. As far as the turbo i would go for at least a 78. LS1.com has great info on there, my name is MillsMotorvation on that site. Good luck.

something to think about with that LS6 cam. it is proved over and over again that it power band hits a wall at 5500 rpms when used in boost. i seen this first hand with a customers setup.

there are plenty of better choices for a cam out there. if yoru giong thru hassle of installing a cam might as well install one that has a power band to match your combo

also he has a GenIV motor and teh LS6 cam is a GENIII cam. to make it work can be a pain in the ass dealing with timing gears and cam sensors.

also a 60/65 is a GenIII controlled tranny. the 70e is a GenIV controlled tranny which is a modern version of the 60e

ls1.com is a joke compared to LS1tech.com

also you can find info on THETURBOFORUMS.COM
