need opinion?

My tranny is shifting fine at low speeds, but from a stop and I launch the tranny just stays in 1st , unless I come off and get back in it, then it shifts into 2nd. I'll probably have it rebuilt any how, but just curious about it. Thanks .

Try adjusting tv cable first and see if it helps.

done that already,I'll just get it rebuilt anyway, my combo (so I've been told ) might be to much for a stock tranny.The car was used for towing in its previous life, for what I don't know. May the previous owner be drawn and quartered!
