Hello everyone, I am new to the site and am primarily looking for help on pricing a turbo engine.
Several years ago, my dad and I found a totaled T-Type (1984) and salvaged the engine. We tore it down, had it balanced/blueprinted and were planning on putting it into my '77 Firebird as a sleeper. Unfortunately, life happened and we never got to the project and it has been sitting on an engine stand in his garage for 18 years. Dad recently passed away and I don't have time to pursue another project. I have a person interested in the engine but I am not certain what the engine is worth.
It has the heads, intake, turbo, water pump, etc. No carb.
It probably needs a tear down to replace gaskets, etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately it isn't worth a whole lot. The block is an '84. The blocks everyone "wants" is the '86 and '87 109 casting blocks. There are a few other differences as well. In general, the '84 engines are not capable of being built to withstand the abuse of the later blocks...... with that said..... if you can get $500 for it..... that would probably be fair IMHO........not sure what you were wanting....

Good Luck with your sale.

You mentioned it had no carb....if it was an 84 block it should be fuel injected. If it's a factory carb engine it would be a 1878-83 model engine which would be even less.
