On another one of my vehicles, I noticed that I have a leak right where the driveshaft goes into the transmission housing. What is this seal called? I'm sure there's a specific name for it other than "driveshaft seal". I am trying to order the seal from a website but I need the proper name to do a correct search....

Not a tranny-guru, but the bearing you're referring to is in the rear of the tailshaft housing. See if the term "tailshaft" helps in your search while waiting for a guru to reply.

Worth a shot, maybe...several synonyms for the same part, sometimes.
