I have a buddy in town here that has a mid 80's Gutlass.......I dont remember what year.......anyway......He has for sale with the next month:
Weld Draglites......with 27 X 10.5 slick out back and skinnies up front. $850 he said he will take.
Ford 9 inch rear end.......with like 4:10 or 4:55 gears in it......with racing axles......he wants $750.
MY questions I have the money for one or the other which should I get........
I know the rear end would need new gears cause that is to high for these cars right? So should I just pass on that or would it be worth it to get them and switch out the gears and how hard is that to do???
The Rims and tires I really like the way they look on his car but would look 10 times nicer on my car
, but can my stock peg leg handle those slicks.....???........could I get drag radials that would look nice with the skinnies up front........and save the slicks for when I do get a posi rear end??????????????????????I would really like these rims but I dont think I can handle slicks right now and would like to drive the car with the rims on it........like.....all the TIME.........
What are your guys thoughts on this.........all and any suggestions are welcome.....i need to make my mind up??? oh ya are these desent deals??? Tires are not that old.....
Do drag radials and skinnies look alright together?
One more question how would I look to see how good of shape the slicks are in?
