Need to know a simple explanation on EGR

I have my block off plate and want to get rid of the egr stuff. The canister is already gone for the tin man intake. I have a TT chip for alky but just do not know what to get rid of and what I have to keep if any. I have looked through here but just cannot make out some of the post on this.

I would not remove the canister. That if for the gas tank fumes. Relocate it to the frame rail.

As far as the EGR stuff goes, the valve, solenoid and lines can all be removed. Tuck the plug under the coilpak/module.

So no issues with a check engine light if I take it off?

TT chips disable the EGR anyway. No issues.

Depends where you live. There's no sniffer test for cars over 25 years old in NC but I need mine to pass the visual inspection. It doesn't do anything since I have GN1 heads and the port is blocked off anyway. Same goes with the Cat. I gutted it and put a test pipe in it to pass the visual Inspection.
