today i took my car to the track and dceided to let my brother make a pass ot two just because he hasnt ever been down the track. so he gets out there and runs 11.67@115. i was like u know not to bad for the first time on the track. then i got in the car and made a pass and she went 11.52@114. then my buddy talked me into to take the cutout off the exhaust and stahled he up to 17lbs of boost and let her rip, 11.05@122:D see, the last time i tried to run it with the cut out off it would spit and sputter pretty bad, so i didnt wanna take it off. but boy am i glad i did.:D

That is awesome times for a PT52....

I am amazed at the MPH you picked up with the cutout open

Assuming it was decent AFR with the cutout open (looking at the mph.... the tune was real good) ..... I would guess you had to be rich with it closed...... unless you have some sort of wideband fuel correction....

Very nice. I am in awe. You want to come rub on my car?

What were the 60' times on all the other runs?

Do you have 1/8 mile times and MPH?

what heads are you running? ported?

This is the reason people should measure their exhaust back pressure no matter what kind of system they have on the car. With that kind of MPH gain I'll bet you have 5 tp 10psi of BP in your exhaust that can't get out with the dump closed.

BTW, nice increase in times and MPH. Don't it make you want to get rid of that restrictive exhaust and get a better one?

So are still you going to try the NOS? Did you rival see that run?

it had a 1.60 60 on the 11.52 pass. the heads are stock.the motor itself is stock, but it has been rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago.

i dont think im goin to put the nos kit on the car just because i drive it everyday and dont want to kill the motor just yet. im not to worried about hurting the car without the cage just because if it starts to show any signs or twisting i can always put one in it. i work at a chassis and late model high performance shop here in shreveport,la. i will try and get these timeslips posted up on here if i can figure out this scanner here in the shop. it does run pretty rich with the damn cutout on.

What does the car weigh? You say stock heads but are they full ported or untouched factory units? Your sig says 27psi of boost...was that with the dump cap off?
