New computer & Powerlogger help

Hi all,
I got a new HP Windows 8 laptop a few months ago and now I got a Powerlogger and Wideband O2 for Christmas. I've been reading lots of posts about getting Powerlogger to run on Windows 8 and am totally confused as to what I need to do. Has the Powerlogger software been changed to run on Windows 8 without all that messing around with drivers or is all that still necessary?

Bottom line is at this time, what do I need to do to get it up and running?

if you got the PL recently, then the drivers are built into windows. all you need to do is physically install the PL unit, and copy the PLC program files to your computer (I usually recommend making a PowerLogger folder in "My Documents" and putting everything there.

Thanks - good to know. I started to load it last night but saw you need to have it installed in the car first so have to wait for that.

I followed the directions and copied the files over, but could never get it to locate the drivers. I had to go to the full throttle forum and download the drivers from there. It worked perfectly once I did that.

I didn't see any driver files in the software that came with my PL that I purchased last month. I'm sure i was overlooking something , but just thought I would add my .02 of how I got mine to work.
