I replaced my gas tank with one from spectra premium. It is baffled (welded walls dividing the internal space and a dog dish at the pump) and is stamped 307C, made in Taiwan, not Canada. Externally, it looks the same, except it is coated steel instead of shiny-ish ni-terne steel. I painted it black anyway.
I could not get it back in. Eventually, I mounted it by removing the rubber straps, removing the back side bolts, installing the front side strap hangers, jacking it up, and shoving the back side bolts into place and running them in. This is not my first time dropping the tank - it should not be that hard. The new tank must be just enough bigger.
Anyone else have this problem? Eventually, I'll get it up on ramps and take another run at it.
