Hey guys, I spent some time driving my Gn yesterday and It runs terrible. It has some fairly major misfiring allover the rpm at light throttle, and bad misfires at tip-in, Under heavy throttle it clearsup after a bit but resumes running poorly at light throttle and cruising. The O2 millivolts cruising are very low and have been occasionally at zero, but under heavyaccell seem to stabalize around .750 and remain fairly constant. I noticed that the vaccume line to the map sensor in undone and nowhere to be found? I just bought the car with heavy mods, It was used to drag race and not driven on the street, I have some things to iron out but a nice base to work with. The mods are in my signiture. It has the maxeffort setup which I will be removing and goint to a chip from TurboTweak for more of a turn key approach, I was planning on replacing the TPS and O2 sensors for good measure and also the fuel filter, the plugs and wires look good. Is there anything else I should be looking for?
I just want to get this car running like its supposed to!! Also, It occasionally pops out the intake on throttle tip-in??? only one time per occourance? Im assuming its a lean condition because it seems to do it when the turbo begins to make some boost? I have an Alkycontrol kit but its not yet hooked up because I thought I shouls make it run good before making more work?!?! sorry for the long thread, Just need some advise on where to thart or if im on the right track??? Thanks Again, Ryan

And also, It has K&N open breathers on the valve covers and the right side leaks some oil on the header, I have heard this is common on the turbo Buicks? any thoughts on a solution???

What kind of MAF sensor are you running? If it is still the stock one Iwould check the MAF readings and make sure they are OK. I just had my stock MAF go out and it made the car run like cr@p. Kind of similar to what you are describing. If it is still stock look into a LS1 MAF and translator.

Definately a stock maf, I was thinking the same, Im curious why the map is unhooked on it? Im definately going to remove the MaxEffort and go with a TurboTweak chip and a new TPS cuz it looks original!

Not needed..

All it does is signal the useless dash boost gauge. As long as you can find the hose, and be sure it's plugged, there's no harm in leaving it as is.
