Installed the turbo, THDPw/testpipe and turbosaver Sat.
I was shocked..it only took 5 hours and that is with all old stuff still on the car along with changing the oil, cleaning up brackets and the engine ground..what can I say but thanx to PB Blaster
.
Now, how does it run?
The car is completly different !
I was told that the midrange would pull like crazy and it does also, the top end does not fade. It will now grab second and leave stripes in the road.
This is considering that I do not have it tuned exact yet.
My biggest shock was the fact I can run 18 PSI with 6.6(just tuning) @ 106mph w/22 degrees and Sunoco 93.. this is less KR than the stock setup @ 15-16 PSI and 20 degrees.
Honestly, while tuning the boost I hit 20 plus spikes before I got it right and it did not knock like I thought it was going to.
I am not using the ECM for boost control due to the high boost actuator and the ecm solenoid not having good boost contol(too high).
It does have lag but I am not finished tuning either(i will let u know).
Compared to my 86 GN with the TA49 the GT3255E has a noticable different pull in the midrange. i.e. pulls harder sooner and all the way to the redline in all gears(not OD of course). The power band is different. This is from someone who has both.
