Hi everyone,looking for some help/info

I'm looking at an 84 Grand National for sale that needs to have the heads, intake, etc. re-installed and obviously, get it running.
Anything out of the ordinary to look out for during re-assembly?
How do the 84-85's perform vs. the 86-87 models?
How different is the seat of pants of the 84-85's vs. the 86-87's?
What did stock 84-85's run in the 1/4?
Just looking to have some fun,and if I do purchase this car, give it some dignity again.
One more question, what is a clean 84 worth,in the following condtion:
solid body,respectable paint
solid frame,floors,trunk
ratty interior and it has t-tops
motor is half apart

Thanks in advance for your help, answers, and opinions

as far as the speed difference goes, the 86-87 ran mid to low 14's generally, and the 84-85's ran mid to high 15's. Because of the intercooler and some other changes like the intake, the 86-7 models ran a good deal quicker, although a hotair (84-5) can be made to run quicker than a stock 87 with relatively few mods.
