new injectors and chip with knock and backfire

The new injectors are in and work well but I'm getting alot of knock. The boost level doesn't even go above 13psi and it back fires, stumbles, and with anywhere from 2 to 5 degrees of knock. What can cause this? Did I mess something up? The new chip is a Caspers thumbwheel and the first setting is suppposed to be set at 0-65mph with no boost but I still have boost at WOT. Other then that the antitheft setting works great. I'm trying to barrow a scan tool to check everything out but hoping it was something simple.

Sounds like your running in valet mode.
Don't know how your thumbwheel is setup but if it's in valet mode setting it won't run very good for that reason.
Might want to check all your connections again,especially your injector harness plug-in.
Make sure it's plugged in all the way.

I forgot to mention in my first post that there is a squeaking sound that is coming from the alternator that at ffist I thought the tension on the belt was to lose so I tightened it but the noise was still there so I losened it just a little at the noise is stll there. I checked the belt and it isn't worn at all it was replaced last year sometime in th emiddle of the summer. Could it be the belt? I replaced the alternator 2 winters ago. Could the alternator have gone bad again? I'm not getting and volt light on the dumby lights. I checked the harness and eveything is plugged in ok. I don't know I'm lost.

I don't think it's the belt try running your thumbwheel on the third setting.
