Hello all!
One thing that I've noticed is that if you don't have any activity for a period of time, the "new messages" timer resets and it automatically assumes that you have logged in again and read everything that happened before your last login. Generally, I try to read new messages chronologically from the last time I logged in, and if I get in the middle of something, I miss new messages because of this timeout because it thinks I read them. This also happens when I bop in to check private messages and close the window. This morning it went from 306 new topics to 12, meaning that I have no idea what those other 294 new topics were now.
V8buick.com's message board has a "postings in the last 3 days" search option on their front page. I think it would be helpful to have something like this on our main page.
Admins: is this possible?
