close to 1700 miles now and not one problem.
I hope you all can get your issues fixed quick.

2,600 miles since Dec. on my GT and no problems at all. I do hope everyone with issues get them resolved by Ford

Sorry but Ford is $hit always been $hit and this is what happens when you buy one. Had plenty of them and hated them all within a short time. I know ALLOT of people that will never buy a Ford product again. Where I work one of the guards was in love with his Ford pick up he recently purchased. I asked him just last night about it (he's ownd it 2 years now) and said he will never own another Ford! Engine and trans went in that time. Junk!

Doesn't seem like the Best Idea to Buy Plenty Of Anythng from a car Co. That you hate....I have owned about 8 Mustangs...All GT's Or Cobras...Ranging from mid 11 to mid 12 sec cars..And I can tell you this,They all have held up much better than any Chevy I have ever owned...(Cant even count how many camaros,Trans Ams..And so on That I have owned)I have never had a problem with any of the stangs I have ever owned...Did Grenade 1 T5 and 1 8.8 Rear...Never had a motor even make a tap...And I put some severe beatings on all of them.My old 86 F-250 That I sold a buddy years ago is still running strong with way over 200K on the 351..

You guys should look into your beloved Gm's Recall History....It down right sucks too....And they have had some real dooozies as of lately...I know people that would never buy a GM again...Buddy had a 00 vette just about fall apart...This was just after trading in his 99 Trans Am...That was the biggest POS on the road...

Goes Both ways...Want build quality....Unfortunately......Buy A Nissan/Toyota

Im not really brand specific..Just think Its funny that you see every negative ford thing pop right up here...But never any of the GM Recalls...Think I might have to start posting some of them.

I'm with you on the Nissan / Toyota thing. Friend of mine bought a 1991 Pathfinder new in 91. He sold it last year and did nothing but brakes and tires. 200 plus K on it. He changed the oil every 5 years or so. Not one problem! Ran like a clock!
GM is not much better. But I've found more Ford's are lemon lawed then any other car. The guy who sits across from me Lemon lawed 5 Fords over the years. You had some luck with your Fords and I tryed them all and tryed and tryed again and those Ford's screwed me over and over and over again. At least the GM's are treating my wallet nice!

You know what the funny thing is...You really dont hear of these recalls for the most part....

I was looking to buy a 03 Z-71 Tahoe..After checking into them a bit,I found that they also had a recall of a Huge number of the Tahoe's and Yukons...Why,...The lights in the running Boards had some type of problem and Could possibly go on fire....I thought to myself...Damn..Never knew that...

Buddy has a 04 Silverado....Gm is recalling something like 3-4 Million trucks due to the Tailgate cables breaking....(There were actually a number of people hurt by this,And Im sure the Lawsuits for GM have already come rolling in)..The same guys mom had a new TrailBlazer...I guess about 2 years ago....I dont remember what the recall was actually over...But the owners were instructed not to even drive the trucks anymore...And the dealer would send a tow Truck to come get it....What a Fiasco!!!

Im still going to Buy either a Denalli,Yukon,Or Tahoe...Point being...If you dont research the recall stuff....You never know how Junky all these cars really are!!!!All the manufacturers seem to be putting out garbage nowadays...I have read that GM has Recalled over 10.5 MILLION cars and Trucks in 04...Im sure Ford and Dodge are right up there with them...Just goes to show that Nobodys quality is Job 1.....And Its a shame.

Thats why my Daily Driver is a 00 Maxima...110K on it and runs like Brand new...Also have a 97 Pathfinder...Only 80k on that...At that rate..Should last forever!!..;)

I will agree that Ford basically has alot of krap on the roads, however - so does every car company.

ehh hem: Ford Crown Vic / Grand Marquis never break down

Mustangs are pretty friggin indestructible

Give the 2005 Stang some time to find itself. It is basically a brand new model, everything on it is new. It will take a little time to work some bugs out. I mean damn, it's not like the aren't willing to fix the problems. Chill out man. As long as they are willing to fix it for free, don't worry so damn much man.

the crown vic/grand marquis/town car are plague by lots of similar problems the mustang drivelines had. namely the POS plastic intake manifolds. ford had this recalled on its mustangs but not on the crown vics. even though it was the same freaking part number. that really pissed me off. especially when mine went.

I am not real brand specific, I have owned both GM and Ford. My latest an 04 Chevy Z-71 P/U has not been really good to me. Recalls on the tailgate cables, steering shaft ( yeah that took 3 months to get the parts in), airbag is now broken, and the brakes are horrible. Thanks to who ever posted the brake recall, I think that my truck probably has that issue too. The brakes have never been real good, and now maybe I know why. I have to take it in to get the airbag fixed, funny it was fine until GM replaced my steering shaft, I got it in it to leave the dealership and the airbag was malfunctioning, they said it was just bad timing. yeah right. Either way I like the look of the truck (its black), but the realiblity in the first 16k miles is leaving something to be desired. Makes me wish I had just kept my old 99 Ford.

It's been a while since I remember hearing this, but didn't the Focus beat the Neon for the title of most recalls in the first year of production? There's an honor...

One good rule is to never buy a model in its first year of production. Especially flashy American cars that everyone rushes to get the first week they go on sale.

Watch out guys or you'll have the "Jap" car haters in here.

Didn't you know that the Japanese are ruining our economy with their cars and plus the cars are all crap too?! USA USA!

The previous paragraph brought to you by sarcasm.

Ford had a recall on the intake for the CV but only if it had the police package or the taxi Every CV I've had in the fleet (police dept North Jersey) had to be replaced.

doh thats right. i forgot about that. that makes it even worse though because they all had the same manifold. its just ford trying to screw over some people to save a few bucks.

Is the CV you own an x police or taxi? If it is your covered under that recall. Several times when I brought a patrol car in and they ran the vin thru there computer they said it wasn't covered then when I asked them to run the vin again when I picked the car up amazing it came back that it was covered. After that I switched from the Ford dealer in town for warrenty work to a Mercury Dealer 2 town away. Never had trouble with them. They even warrenty a new trans for one CV with 48,000 miles on it.
