After patiently waiting on the right car,I finally bought a 84 t-type (hot-air).Still learning a lot about the cars little quirks.Car is in good shape, needs a little tlc..Motor and drive train have a lot of work already done to them. Here is a list:t-49 turbo, lunati 200 cam,40# injectors, bigger turbo inlet and downpipe, auburn posi,86/87 coil pack, hooker exhaust no cats(still passed emisions),plumbed for alcohol but still need the pump and solenoid.Car is in primer at the moment with a black hood and trunk lid off another t-type.Don't know how many miles are on it,the guy I bought it from thinks around 85k.Picked up the car, extra torque converter and pair of buckets for 3600.00
I'm having cooling issues at the moment so tommorw I'll be putting in a new thermostat, water pump and radiator just to safe.Any advice on where to go next would appriated. The dyno sheet I was given with the car showed:253hp and 310ftlbs at the wheels.
Love the car but still have a long way to go.

congrats on the new car. you have to post up some pics. as far as the cooling issue i hope its something small. there is alot of info on the board so do alot of reading. sounds like you got a good turbo which is hard to find now a days. i would like to know what dp you have but i will be able to tell by the pics. if you have any questions please ask.

Well the cooling issue was just the thermostat, but I went ahead swapped the water pump anyway. The up and down pipe came from a place called Applied Technologies and Research in Fair play,sc.I'm kind of taking the guy I bought it froms word for it on the down pipe. The only thing listed the receit he gave me was the up pipe.He said the down came from the same place but was on a different receit.I'll post some pics as soon as I can so I can know for sure.I'm sure I'll have plenty of ?'s to come.
